Here, you will make an impact by:Consults with leadership team to set medium- to long-term strategic direction and operating plansInteracts with Stakeholders and Senior Leadership, to influence decision-making, operational/strategic planning, and developing strategies and solutions for complex and multi-faceted business problemsManage delivery of intelligence products including semantic models, knowledge graphs, generative insights, conversational interfaces, agents and algorithms.Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, data science, business stakeholders, and product teams to ensure successful delivery and adoption.Define product strategy and roadmaps aligned to business priorities and measurable outcomes.Establish iterative development practices to wireframe, prototype, pilot and scale productsEstablish Architectural Governance & Design Patterns to build sustainable, reliable and efficient data and AI products and servicesEstablishing operational frameworks for product performance, data quality, and responsible AI practices.Lead leaders of multiple teams and mentoring talent, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.Tracking and communicating ROI, ensuring products deliver tangible business value and efficiency gains.Establish Innovation processes to stay up to speed with industry developments including realtime data processing, transformation, graphical processing, agentic AI, AI assisted development etc.Key Responsibilities:Consults with leadership team to set medium- to long-term strategic direction and operating plans for a medium to large complex IT business operation. Develops business strategies and creates solutions for complex and multi-faceted problems. Provides advice and counsel for decision-making, operational/strategic plng, and info mgmt. Implements appropriate info technology for a typically medium to large IT business operation. Plans, organizes, and directs all info technology activities and policies, including the mgmt of one or more functional disciplines. Consults with leadership team to set medium- to long-term strategic technical direction for a Solution Center or Infrastructure footprint. Develops strategies and creates solutions for complex and multi-faceted problems.Your Skills and Expertise:Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, Business, or a science field (completed and verified prior to start).Ten (10) years of experience in technical data or software leadership roles such as Architect, Lead or Manager in a private, public, government or military environment Five (5) years of experience designing and deploying data models and cloud architectures for finance, supply chain, sales and marketingAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:5+ years of experience building and deploying and managing high volume AI/ML models in production2+ years of experience building and deploying multiple Generative/Agentic AI applications at scale (1000+ daily users)Proven experience working in a platform-product operating model with expertise in scaling data and AI products, pipelines and solutions from 0 to 10,000+ usersPrior experience with Agentic AI, Generative AI and AI/ML, including machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.Prior Experience with modern data engineering concepts including Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, ETL/ELT, Graph Databases, knowledge graph, Data ServicesUnderstanding of regulatory, ethical, and governance considerations associated with AI products, ensuring responsible and compliant product delivery.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.Experience with agile development methodologies and project management toolsWork location:3M Global Headquarters in St. Paul, MN (4 days in office)Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international Relocation Assistance: Not authorizedSupporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
