At 3M, we're looking for an enthusiastic Industrial Placement Student to join our dynamic inside sales team. This is your chance to collaborate with industry experts and gain invaluable experience in a global company renowned for innovation and excellence.What You'll Do:Sales Support:Proactively support the sales organization in prospecting and validating opportunities at the account level.Research accounts across the UK & Ireland geography and validate account data such as the number of workers, industry, production, hazards, and investments.Map new factory openings across the UK & Ireland and provide leads to the sales organizationContent and Communication:Create a shared repository of sales presentations for each product, working with portfolio managers and the marketing organization.Communicate product information and promotions to the sales organization proactively, alongside the marketing organization, ensuring the sales team has all relevant information.Event Management:Provide support in numerous trade fairs across the UK & Ireland, including organization, participation, lead follow-up, and upload into Salesforce (approximately 10 events per year).Assist on Advisory Councils and Safety Days (customer events requiring planning, invitations, registrations, and set-up).Social Media and Networking:Maintain the 3M UK & Ireland LinkedIn account and post approved content. Promote webinars and events on LinkedIn.Explore LinkedIn Navigator to enrich account contacts as necessary.Collaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service.
