Successful candidate for this position will be responsible for providing Inventory accounting and costing services to 3M subsidiaries. Currently, 3M is deploying ERP (SAP) to the subsidiaries and you would be requested to work in both SAP countries and Legacy system countries during transition period. This position will work as liaison with countries and be primary contact from our internal client. Successful candidate will report to Accounting operation supervisor, and will liaise with relevant parties in GSC and other country finance team/s.The Inventory Associate responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:Provide inventory accounting and costing services to 3M subsidiaries where SAP has been implemented. Provide inventory accounting/costing services to legacy system countries during transition periodEnsure compliance to 3M Financial Standard, SOX and other regulationsResponsible for preparation of manual journal entriesResponsible for timely balance sheet account reconciliationDetail of monthly activities will be, but not limited to; lead inventory closing operation for the subsidiaries and support system operation. Keep legacy system inventory ledger to be compliant with 3M standard.Detail of weekly activities will be, but not limited to; Run soft closing and analyze & report variance informationDetail of daily activities will be, but not limited to; Update unit cost in the system, run costing for new material number and work closely with countries for issue resolution.Engage in ad-hoc activities such as internal/external audit, tax audit, etcEnhance KPIs to improve productivity and service qualityParticipate in the project, e.g. accounting centralization activities from the region, etcBasic Qualifications:Accounting degree and working experience in Finance and Accounting area. Solid financial accounting and internal control knowledge are required – Minimum 3 years of experience.Inventory accounting experience is required – Minimum 3 years of experience.
