Here, you will make an impact by:Supporting the development and scale up of key business NPI programs, enabling the launch of new products to drive growth within the siteIdentify and champion the execution of high impact value stream improvement opportunities to deliver on critical business capacity, yield, productivity, and customer quality improvement initiativesLeading cross-functional teams, and proactively communicating project direction and status to appropriate stakeholdersMonitor and improve manufacturing operations using Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology (design of experiments, statistical process control, lean management system, kaizens, DMAIC)Performing capability assessments and cost estimates for new opportunitiesOwnership of identifying and monitoring specifications, test methods, and product standards in support of customer needs and product performance requirementsSupport site Quality Management Systems (ISO/IATF) including Change Management (MOC/CMP), customer complaint resolution, CAPA execution, and representing 3M Knoxville during internal and external customer and audits interactionsYour Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Master's degree or higher from an accredited universityBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Industrial EngineeringMinimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience in leading multi-functional teams through complex projects from planning to completionExperience in supporting new product development and commercialization.Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)Experience in lean manufacturing or Aerospace IndustrySelf-starter/self-directed that leads with high energy and passionWork location:Knoxville, IowaTravel: May include up to 5% DomesticRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
