Here, you will make an impact by:Supervising a multi-craft workforce and coordinating maintenance activities with operations, engineering, and others to ensure tasks are completed in a timely, efficient, and safe mannerUnderstanding and enforcing corporate and site policies and procedures, providing instruction to employees, and taking appropriate action as necessarySupporting safety and quality programs by completing action items, audits, assessments, and other activitiesLeading and/or participating in projects as assigned to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Plant Engineering’s work delivery, while minimizing equipment downtime and maintenance costsWillingness to work some weekends and to be on-callCompany VehicleThis position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this positionYour Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Associate degree or technical diploma, or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionThree (3) years of manufacturing or plant maintenance experience in a private, public, government or military environmentCurrent, Valid Driver’s licenseAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionFive (5) years of direct supervision experience within manufacturing or plant maintenance in a private, public, government or military environmentSkills include proficiency with Maximo (CMMS/SAMS) or SAP-PMTwo (2) years of experience with contractor work management processes, such as safety protocols and invoicingWork location: Cottage Grove, MN.
