This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead and mentor junior developers. Here, you will make an impact by:Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex solutions using Microsoft Power Platform components such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents.Integrate Power Platform solutions with other Microsoft services (e.g., SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Azure) and third-party systems.Customize and configure Power Platform solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring scalability and performance.Design and implement data models, entities, and relationships within the Power Platform. Ensure data integrity and security.Develop and implement automated workflows and processes using Power Automate.Create and maintain interactive and insightful reports and dashboards using Power BI.Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and intermediate developers. Share best practices and promote a culture of continuous learning.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for solutions, including design specifications, user guides, and troubleshooting manuals.Learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges, stay updated with the latest Power Platform features and capabilities. Propose and implement enhancements to existing solutions.Provide proactive and advanced support for Power Platform solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues efficiently and independently.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a science field (completed and verified prior to start) Four (4) years’ experience in Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate in a private, public, government or military environment Two (2) years’ experience in Microsoft Dataverse (formerly Common Data Service) and data modeling.Two (2) years’ experience with integration technologies such as REST APIs, Azure Data Factory, JSON and custom connectors, including HTTP Protocols to call and consume REST APIs.Two (2) years’ experience in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and reporting using Snowflake.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Power Platform.Fluent in English for professional verbal and written communication.Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services (e.g., SharePoint, Teams) and Dynamics 365.Proficient with Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database) is a plus.Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert).Hands-on experience with advanced Power Platform features and custom development.Work location: Maplewood, MN at least 4 days per weekTravel: May include up to 10% domestic travelRelocation Assistance: not authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
