The role involves managing end-to-end supplier engagement — from identifying capable partners to ensuring cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and compliance with 3M quality and ethical standards.You will collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Business Teams to drive strategic sourcing initiatives and deliver value through supplier performance, innovation, and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Partner Management:Identify, qualify, and onboard 3rd Party Manufacturers aligned with business needs and product categories. Establish long-term partnerships to support growth, innovation, and cost objectives.Cost and Contract Management:Drive cost optimization through competitive sourcing, value engineering, and negotiation of commercial terms. Manage contracts ensuring legal, commercial, and compliance alignment.Supplier Relationship & Performance:Monitor supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery, service), lead quarterly reviews, and drive continuous improvement actions with partners.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with technical, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure supplier capability for new product introductions, process transfer, and regulatory compliance.Risk & Compliance:Ensure all 3PMs adhere to 3M’s EHS, sustainability, and ethical standards. Conduct supplier audits and risk assessments proactively.Market Intelligence & Benchmarking:Track market trends, raw material pricing, and supplier landscape to build a resilient and cost-competitive external manufacturing network.Project Management:Lead sourcing transitions, capacity expansions, and cost improvement projects across categories.Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
