Here, you will make an impact by:Working with Product Development, Sales and Marketing personnel to develop and replicate high impact Structural Adhesive applications for various industrial markets.Lead voice of customer efforts to support new product development programs.Identify and communicate future market trends and product needs for structural adhesives.Working closely with customers to solve customer application issues by performing testing, analyzing results, and communicating results to customers through written reports and presentations.Providing launch support for new product programs by generating supporting documentation, demonstration tools, videos, and training materials.Building a deep understanding of customer needs and competition for the adhesives market and provide “Voice of Customer,” new product ideas and competitive analysis.Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science, or other science or engineering field (completed and verified prior to start)Three (3) years of laboratory experience in a private, public, government or military environment Current, valid Driver’s License.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Advanced degree in science or engineering from an accredited institutionExperience with automation or roboticsExperience working with polymers or adhesives in a private, public, government or military environmentExperience in Application EngineeringWork location: Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.Travel: May include up to 20% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May not be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
