Here, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter.Job Description:The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleAs a Trade Compliance Administrator at 3M UK, Skelmersdale plant, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.Here, you will make an impact by:Handling all UK Customs Self Filing & Transit activities for the Skelmersdale siteCommunicating regularly with senior business management, HMRC and other Governmental agencies to ensure compliance with applicable regulationsEnsuring smooth flow of daily Customs entry processing for Transit and Self Filing within the SAP/GTS systemCompleting checks of declarations to ensure accuracy and timely completionNotifying HMRC of any irregularities immediately via post entry processesApplying for Customs approvals and licences when required Ensuring compliance to the businesses Internal Trade Compliance policiesPreparing Customs declaration reports Communicating with HMRC in case of any Customs specific business enquiries Creating documents & enhance Trade Compliance processes (where required) and creating & analysing Trade Compliance reports and metricsParticipating in Trade Compliance projects or projects where Trade Compliance representation is requiredSupporting internal and external auditsYour Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:Proven track record of successfully handling Import/Export clearances Knowledge and experience of customs declaration requirements Experience and knowledge of HTS classification, country of origin/FTA / IPR / OPR / export controlsCurrent knowledge of customs import/export legislation, commercial documentation & the HMRC tariff.
