Job Description

Google | Bengaluru, Karnataka, India; Gurugram, Haryana, India. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent. 5 years in program or project management. Experience with carbon accounting and methodologies or energy markets. A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. In this role, you will be responsible for leading projects and provide analysis and deliverables that will help to evolve the regional strategy and accelerate carbon reduction. As part of these efforts, you will turn insights/recommendations into action by working with various stakeholders, including key cross-functional leadership. You will partner with external experts to shape the perspective on carbon, energy, and other efforts and enable the broader decarbonization ecosystem. The Climate Ops team is responsible for Google’s company wide clean energy and decarbonization strategy and goals for our global operations and value chain. This team works cross-functionally to define and coordinate strategy, develop and scale new solutions that accelerate decarbonization and serve as a point of technical coordination across Google on energy and carbon. This team also drives a measurement and standards program that embeds climate-related methodologies across the company and drives evolution of standards to deliver system-level impact.
