Job Description

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. The Product Data Management (PDM) team is responsible for ensuring on-time NPI builds, production ramp up, and maintaining supply continuity during sustaining. Google uses Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and the PDM team is responsible for managing the parts in Agile PLM and the processes surrounding the part number creation, BOM release, and change management. Agile PLM manages part numbers, bills of materials (BOMs), and product change requests and change orders (e.g., ECRs, ECOs, Deviations, etc.). The PDM team creates standards related to specification requirements, lifecycle phases, bill of material (BOM) structures, part number attribution, and product documentation. The output of the product development process is the documentation, including accurate specifications, drawings, and qualification constraints that are used for the product in its useful life. Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible.
