Job Description

Meta is seeking a professional to join our design, engineering, and construction organization as a NORAM Preconstruction Manager. The individual will collaborate closely with our leadership and delivery teams, accountable for specific programs and projects from design kick off through to break ground on site and contract execution. Responsibilities include serving as a People Manager leading a team of Individual Contributor Preconstruction Managers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement, providing coaching and career development, driving consistency and knowledge-sharing, leading execution of preconstruction program designs ensuring alignment of cost, schedule, scope, and constructability, managing complex commercial agreements, establishing reporting mechanisms for portfolio health, driving alignment between stakeholders, partnering with Design, Engineering, Planning, and Estimating teams, leading bid leveling and commercial analysis, providing constructability input, supporting build strategy and supply chain frameworks, collaborating with Contracts teams, leading development of new processes and tools, championing change management, and maintaining a network of external partners while monitoring industry trends.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent technical degree (degree)
  • Minimum of Fifteen (15) years direct professional experience in Commercial Management, Construction Management or equivalent (experience)
  • People Management experience (experience)
  • Mission Critical/ Data Center experience (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a People Manager responsible for leading, developing, and empowering a team of Individual Contributor Preconstruction Managers
  • Foster an efficient team built on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development for team members
  • Drive consistency and knowledge-sharing across product-aligned preconstruction teams
  • Lead and be accountable for the successful execution of multiple preconstruction program designs
  • Manage complex, large-scale commercial agreements through design kickoff to construction start
  • Establish and oversee reporting mechanisms for portfolio-level preconstruction health
  • Drive alignment between design, engineering, and construction stakeholders
  • Partner with Design, Engineering, Planning, and Estimating teams to translate technical scope into executable strategies
  • Lead bid leveling and commercial analysis efforts to evaluate partner proposals
  • Provide constructability input and influence design and delivery strategies
  • Support the development of build strategy and supply chain frameworks
  • Collaborate closely with Contracts Management and Execution teams
  • Lead or contribute to the development and rollout of new preconstruction processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms
  • Champion proactive change management practices
  • Maintain a network of qualified external partners and monitor industry trends
