Have you ever watched a keynote from one of Microsoft’s marquee events like Build, Ignite, etc. and found yourself wondering “how does this all come together in real life as such an amazing experience?”  Everything from the facility, creative content, production and broadcast technology, and many other components are all intricately managed to ensure a professional and world-class event.  Each also has their own unique financial drivers, models, and business partners; and this is where you come in!  If you’re hungry to drive transformation and accelerate your career, then the Marketing Finance organization is the right place for you.We are looking for a proven high performer to take the lead defining and driving a new financial model, partnership, and business rhythm focusing on outcomes that:Partners closely with business leads across the Creative, Technology & Broadcast Operations, Production Studios, and Event Sponsorships teams to understand and influence drivers of revenue (e.g., ticket sales and corporate sponsorships), expense, and identify and mitigate business risk.Establish and build clear lines of communication with multiple funding teams to drive budget and execution accountability.Connect Event spend with outcome to ensure Marketing and Finance leadership understand and measure what we are getting from our investment.Help budget owners understand tradeoff levers within their portfolio and associated impact thus driving the right investments being made at the right time.The Function Marketing finance team stewards Marketing investments for the Global Media & Partnerships; Communications; Monetization & Business Planning; and Global Demand Center teams. This team is part of the Marketing & Consumer Sales Finance team and the Experiences + Devices, and Marketing (EDM) Finance organization. This Marketing Events Finance Leader role allows you to be at the heart of our Microsoft Events and Production Studios function by providing strategic guidance, collaborating closely with marketing partners, supporting the rhythm of business, and finding and driving process improvements. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related fieldOR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related fieldOR equivalent experience (degree)
  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field (degree)
  • OR equivalent experience (degree)
  • 5+ years of demonstrated relevant work experience (degree)
  • Able to demonstrate intermediate use of Excel and PowerPoint (degree)
  • Positive and inclusive team member with a desire to excel both personally and professionally (degree)
  • Crisp communication skills (both verbal and written) (degree)
