The Cameras & Depth group is looking for a camera characterization/validation engineer to support the development of next generation CV and RGB cameras. You will be part of the camera team innovating, developing and integrating hardware and algorithms for future generations of HMD devices.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (degree in Photography, Imaging Science, Color Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field)
experience in image and video quality testing (experience, 3 years)
developing, implementing, and troubleshooting image quality test infrastructure (experience)
using evaluation platforms such as DXO, Imatest, and IQ Analyzer (experience)
with MATLAB, Python, or C/C++ for operating lab systems (experience)
Knowledge of camera module fabrication (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on industry experience with Augmented Reality (AR) or Virtual Reality (VR) products (experience)
Experience in lens and opto-mechanical design (experience)
Background in high-volume production and test environments (experience)
Experience with lens and camera module metrology tools (experience)
Practical experience in prototyping with macro-scale imaging test targets (experience)
Demonstrated experience in sensors and optics (experience)
Responsibilities
Directly contribute to experiments, including designing experimental details, writing reusable code, running evaluations, and organizing results
Contribute to publications and open-sourcing efforts
