Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day facilities operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life-safety, access control, and critical building systems

  • Ensure high uptime and reliability for office and engineering support spaces

  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenances with landlord as necessary to support uninterrupted business operations

  • Manage on-site EV chargers and employee vehicle charging program

  • Regularly measure energy consumption and identify opportunities for energy savings through predictive maintenance, system upgrades, and optimizing usage patterns

  • Effectively manage on-site and external service providers including janitorial, security, maintenance, and specialty contractors

  • Ensure vendors meet SLAs, GM safety standards, and performance expectations

  • Communicate clearly with senior leadership, and internal partners regarding site performance, risks, and cost-savings opportunities

  • Promote the use of the GM Recognition Tool

  • Champion GM’s safety-first culture through EH&S programs, inspections, audits, and training

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire/life safety, ADA, and environmental regulations

  • Support operating and capital budgets under the direction of the Facilities Area Manager

  • Expand and refine facilities programs with a focus on improving the employee experience, ensuring that the physical workspace supports employee well-being, productivity, and engagement

  • Track expenses, assist with forecasting, and support annual budget planning

  • Manage office moves, seating changes, and update seating charts for Bay Area locations as needed

  • Partner with IT, HR, Security, and Workplace Experience teams to execute changes with minimal disruption

  • Act as a primary point of contact for employees and business leaders regarding facility’s needs

  • Oversee facilities ticketing system and communicate clearly on service requests, timelines, and resolutions ensuring team is meeting SLAs

  • Partner with HR leadership to enhance comfort, collaboration, and employee satisfaction

Role Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a facilities leader / manager

  • Prior building control experience

  • Experience managing project budgets

  • Strong HVAC knowledge

  • Clear communicator who is comfortable presenting to senior leadership

  • Strong team-player

  • Comfortable with adaptability and pivoting as needed

  • Ability to handle a high-demand, fast-paced environment

Compensation: The salary range for this role is ($103,900 and $166,000). The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location at least 3 times a week {or other frequency dictated by their manager}.
