Senior Project Engineer / Powder Reliability Engineer – Casa Grande, AZ

A Powder Reliability Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring that systems and equipment perform consistently and efficiently over time. Their responsibilities typically span across design, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

The Opportunity 

Core Responsibilities of a Reliability Engineer:

  • Develop and implement reliability strategies for equipment and systems.

  • Define critical assets and prioritize reliability efforts based on risk and impact.

  • Investigate equipment failures and production issues.

  • Make recommendations and implement them based on RCA findings

  • Review maintenance activities to reduce unplanned downtime.

  • Update maintenance programs based on recent trends and investigations

  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and potential issues.

  • Trend MTBF and MTTR metrics to identify bad actors.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment design and operational procedures. Create documentation like CRs, FSIs, etc. to implement changes.

  • Lead initiatives to reduce costs, improve uptime, and enhance safety.

  • Work with Project Engineering and Division to introduce new pieces of equipment.

  • Assess risks associated with equipment failure and develop mitigation plans.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

  • Work with Engineering techs to train maintenance and on reliability best practices.

  • Promote a culture of reliability across the organization.

This position works out of our Casa Grande, Arizona location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree.

  • 5+ years of significant engineering and/or operational experience.

  • A post-graduate education/degree is desired and may contribute towards the desired years of experience.

The base pay for this position is $78,000.00 – $156,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
