Job Description
Performs cashiering duties, including making cash transactions, verifying cash drawers, giving change, counting cash receipts and completing cash reports. Will also perform barista role and/or general food service work. Maintains sanitation standards in the preparation, service and dining room facilities. This role may include the preparation and serving of branded coffee beverages or serving cafeteria menu items at an assigned station. Ensuring all working areas are kept clean and tidy.Works primarily in the food service operation, handling cash and credit transactions. Will also serve as a Barista. Operate the cash register and complete transactions with a customer-first approach. Performs sales transactions in a timely fashion. Enter all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded. Makes change, accepts declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment; issues receipts to customers.Replenishes condiments, coffee, other beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas. May assist in setup and serving of food from counters and steamtables. Duties will include cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work stations.Interacts with customers in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring that cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards.These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and requirements. Performs other duties as assigned.
