Job Description

PurposeThe Production Technician III executes throughout the Drug Product and Packing manufacturing processes in formulation, encapsulation, primary and secondary packaging without supervision. Displays a high-level aptitude for mechanical troubleshooting. He or she will be responsible for creating a quality-focused environment by motivating/influencing and training others while driving for excellence. Displays AbbVie behaviors. Responsibilities• Proven success in all tasks and skills as defined in the Production Technician II role (P7019H), including but not limited to servicing and operating automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment across multiple value streams independently. • Maintains department's assets to ensure the site is in a state of production readiness/Executes operations-based work orders and initiates work orders for repairs/improvements to Computerize Maintenance Management System (Maximo) • Intermediate level Antares and work vision systems to increase efficiency and decrease production downtime. • Participates in root cause analysis, '5 Whys' method, and initial investigations. • Drive a safety culture through active participation in the site safety committee. Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety procedures and guidelines, and facilitate a proactive safety culture. • Service and operate automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment, or equivalent, to complete assigned tasks autonomously. • Proficient in mechanical troubleshooting. Fully capable in troubleshooting and resolving equipment and process related setup and operation issues. Ability to escalate and communicate to Engineering & Maintenance appropriately if further troubleshooting and repairs are required. Partners with Maintenance and Engineering by identifying equipment and process related improvements and assisting/owning implementation. • Serves as Operations representative and participant for qualification of new equipment installations, technology, and projects by attending and executing Factory Acceptance Testing (FATs). Supports New Product Implementation (NPIs) as needed. • Required to interface with Maintenance, Materials Management, Quality, Tech Center, and Engineering on any improvements or process changes. Key leader in procedure updates, CPR updates and testing POMs updates.
