Position Summary

Join Sonoco as an Account Representative II, reporting to the Director of Sales for ThermoSafe. This remote role (CST/EST time zones) coordinates direct sales, grows accounts, and identifies new opportunities in cold chain packaging. It's a progression position (Level I-III) based on experience, with a focus on territory expansion and client relationships in a dynamic, high-impact sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct proactive cold calling to introduce ThermoSafe products.
  • Develop and nurture a pipeline of leads into long-term customers.
  • Build and expand territory presence with strategic planning.
  • Manage client relationships with procurement and supply chain leaders.
  • Oversee full sales cycles, including proposals and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with marketing, customer service, and product teams.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitors.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven sales experience, ideally in cold calling and business development.
  • Success in building sales territories from scratch.
  • Experience handling decision-makers and extended sales cycles.
  • Cold chain or related industry background preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter capable of independent work and hitting targets.
  • CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
