Key Responsibilities

Month-End and Reporting Excellence

Assist in the month-end reporting process to deliver timely, accurate financial information essential for decision-making across Canonical's global operations.

Ledger Ownership

Take full responsibility for specific ledger processes, leveraging your strengths to maintain precision and compliance in our enterprise financial systems.

Audit and Statutory Support

Contribute to the year-end audit process and statutory reporting, ensuring adherence to IFRS and readiness for public scrutiny.

IPO Preparation

Support the finance team's strategic plans to prepare Canonical for its planned IPO, implementing robust controls and reporting frameworks.

Process Optimization

Improve the efficiency of financial procedures, monitor compliance, share knowledge across the team, and build relationships with key stakeholders outside finance.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate:

• Exceptional academic track record and proven career performance in finance.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Preferred experience at a large public accounting firm or in a multinational corporate accounting department.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar enterprise-grade financial systems.
• Willingness to travel up to four times per year for team sprints.
