The Accounting Manager - Corporate Consolidations role at Cardinal Health is a pivotal leadership position within our General Accounting team. Based in Dublin, Ohio, this hybrid role (1-2 days per week in-office) is also open to remote candidates in the Midwest. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will oversee the quarterly financial statement reporting process, including consolidations in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), post-close journal entries, and deliverables to the Audit Committee and SEC. This role demands strategic oversight of Corporate policies, Blackline Center of Excellence (COE), intercompany transactions, and cross-functional partnerships with Legal, Treasury, Tax, and Finance teams.
Ideal for seasoned accounting professionals with managerial experience, this position offers a salary range of $105,100 - $150,100 USD annually, plus bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits. Manage offshore teams, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with GAAP and Cardinal Health policies while supporting technology initiatives.
Lead the quarterly financial close process, managing consolidations via HFM and preparing accurate reports for the Audit Committee and SEC filings. Coordinate post-close journal entries with the Financial Operations Systems (FOS) team for timely, precise results.
Supervise a professional accounting team, fostering effective relationships with offshore partners. Oversee the Blackline COE, including vendor management and governance for company-wide account reconciliations.
Own policies for intercompany transactions, foreign currency, legal entity reporting, and journal entry controls. Execute cross-charges, out-of-balance reporting, and EPIC Insurance filings. Develop processes to ensure accurate recording of intercompany activity.
Partner with Legal, Treasury, Tax, Accounting, and Finance on Corporate initiatives. Support technology projects from requirements gathering to implementation, maintaining robust monthly close and reconciliation controls.
To succeed in this role, candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). We prefer 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, prior managerial supervisory experience, CPA certification, and hands-on expertise with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
At this management level, you will oversee department operations, develop policies, ensure guideline compliance, and resolve operational issues with peers, suppliers, and senior leadership. Decisions impact short-term processes and outcomes, requiring consensus-building skills.
