Position Summary

Seeking a skilled Lead Developer with 8 to 12 years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. Expertise in RESTful API development, database integrations and cloud platforms like Azure/OpenShift, GCP and AWS. Responsible for design, architecture understanding, backend development, system integration, and delivering scalable solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment. Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential to drive customer-focused innovation.

Technical Expertise

• Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and high-performance microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

• System design and microservice design patterns

• Design and deploy applications on major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure), leveraging cloud-native services for optimal performance and reliability.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of software engineers, promoting best practices in coding, testing, and system design.

• Own the end-to-end system design, from initial concept through to production deployment, ensuring reliability and scalability.

• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Conduct code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and drive continuous improvement in our development processes.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on backend systems.

• Proven expertise in Java and the Spring Boot framework.

• Extensive experience with system design and building large-scale, distributed applications.

• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or similar message queuing/event streaming technologies.

• Strong practical knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure).

• Demonstrated experience in a technical leadership or mentorship role.

• Understanding of fundamental AI/ML concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Vertex AI.

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Understanding of AI/ML models and services, with a focus on platforms like Google's Vertex AI.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Cloud certification (e.g., Google Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
