Together, we advance your career.   THE ROLE: The focus of this role is to maintain existing and plan, build, and execute new features in the area of power delivery and reliability for CPU cores.    THE PERSON:  You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/time zones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Understand, develop ability to maintain, existing features in the power delivery, thermal management, and reliability domains for CPU Cores. Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers; power integrity, thermal management & reliability engineers to maintain existing features and develop new features in AMD CPU Cores.   PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  Experience in IP level silicon design methodologies. Strong EE fundamentals. Experience with Verilog, System Verilog, C, and C++   Experience with circuit and finite element simulators. Automating workflows in a distributed compute environment.   Experience in the C++ language, preferably on Linux with exposure to Windows platform Scripting language experience: Perl, Ruby, Makefile, shell preferred.   Exposure to leadership or mentorship is an asset   ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:  Ph.D. or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering LOCATION: Santa Clara, CA; Austin, TX; Fort Collins, CO #LI-DD3 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
