THE ROLE: AMD's Data Center Platform Engineering Group (DPEG) is designing, building and delivering innovative technology infrastructure enabling the digital world. THE PERSON: The Site Supervisor is responsible for monitoring day-to-day operations of multiple servers within the production space. They will lead a large team with multiple technicians to provide break fix of servers in a high-volume environment while maintaining all quality standards and delivery of SLA agreements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the break-fix work by supporting the technician team Ensure daily SLA goals are achieved Ensure all servers are being met with the highest of quality break fix standards Ensure team maintains accurate inventory levels Develop team members and continuously evaluate their performance Perform thorough cost management and waste control and building of personnel Assess operations and suggest opportunities for quality and performance improvements Engage in personnel performance management Assists the Service Manager with overall management as needed PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous managerial experience (preferably in a technological environment) Experience with continuous improvement and lean processes is beneficial but not required Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task Strong verbal and written communication skills Basic math and strong analytical skills Strong problem-solving skills Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, and Word) Possess a high level of integrity and strong work ethic ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelors degree LOCATION: South Hill, Virginia/ Southern Virginia #LI-BW1 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
