THE ROLE: As a Product Development engineer, you will collaborate with various Product Development Groups to bring-up and ramp new products which include Plan, debug and handle manufacturing and characterization test programs for next-generation AMD microprocessors. THE PERSON: A successful candidate is one who can drive technical decisions independently, has accountability for accuracy, reliability and completeness of assignment results critical to the project’s success.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop test plans, create test cases, and execute tests. Validate new product features, test conditions, test methodologies, and test contents during first silicon bring-up Validate the integration and functionality of various SoC components and interfaces. Analyze SoC architectures and contribute to the continuous improvement of validation methodologies. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Ruby, shell script Proficient in Linux, Unix or Windows OS Experience in silicon debug, logic analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes Understanding of PCIe protocols and standards. Experience with SoCs, including design and architecture knowledge. Proficiency in hardware debugging and problem-solving. Familiarity with industry-standard validation tools and environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master’s in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or comparable disciplines.
