As a key contributor to the success of AMD’s product, you will be part of System Applications Hardware team to drive and improve AMD’s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry leading technologies to market. The team fosters and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.    THE PERSON:  As a Systems Design Engineer, you will drive balanced, scalable, and automated solutions in the Adaptive SoC space. In this high visibility position, your understanding of hardware software integration will be necessary towards product development, definition, and root cause resolution.    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Driving technical innovation to improve AMD’s capabilities across System Applications, including tool and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional technical initiatives Developing System Level Hardware Designs for Embedded SoC products including Memory subsystem, Ethernet subsystems, PCIe subsystems, AIE subsystems etc. Debugging issues found during the process, bring-up, validation, and public release of the Hardware Platform  Working with multiple teams, and tracking execution to make sure all system components are validated Working closely with Architecture and Software teams Leading collaborative approach with multiple teams   PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  Strong Programming/scripting in Verilog, VHDL, Tcl, Python, familiarity with C/C++ coding style. Experience using Adaptive SOC design tools like Vivado, Vitis Knowledge of high-speed interfaces including QSFP, PCIe, USB, SATA, Ethernet, DDR Knowledge of devices including SPI, I2C, SD, eMMC, QSPI, OSPI  Extensive experience with common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.  Extensive experience with board/platform-level debugging Extensive knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategy Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion Industry experience developing system designs   ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:  Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering #LI-CJ3 #LI-Hybrid Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
