THE ROLE: AMD is looking for a talented leader to lead the strategy and execution of next-generation rack-scale Helios networking solutions, driving innovation and production deployment while engaging closely with hyperscalers and cloud leaders. THE PERSON: We are seeking a visionary Senior Director Software Development to lead the strategy, development, and deployment of next-generation rack-scale Helios solutions and scale-up switch software. This role requires a strong technical leader who can drive innovation, influence product roadmaps, and deliver high-performance, resilient solutions for hyperscalers, cloud providers, and emerging NeoCloud environments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead strategy and execution for next-generation rack-scale Helios networking solutions and management system software from design through production deployment. Engage directly with strategic customers to understand requirements, present solutions, and influence product roadmap. Drive innovation in rack-scale networking technologies, ensuring best-in-class performance, resiliency, and visibility across solutions. Shape roadmap and feature planning based on customer insights and market trends, aligning with business priorities. Manage architectural complexity and platform diversity across multiple vendor ecosystems, guaranteeing quality, scale, and performance. Provide thought leadership on rack-scale networking systems, influencing technical direction and operational excellence across teams PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Demonstrated experience managing complex software products and bringing them to production. Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, scale organizations, and manage cross-functional initiatives. Proven track record of delivering large-scale distributed systems or rack-scale solutions in production environments. Deep understanding of networking, storage, and compute architectures, including RDMA, disaggregated memory, and far-memory concepts. Experience working with hyperscalers, cloud providers, and OEM partners on complex integrations. Strong ability to influence product strategy, manage cross-functional teams, and drive execution in fast-paced environments.
