Role Overview

As Advisor, Value-Based Analytics & Strategic Deal Management, you will serve as the architect of Cardinal Health's value-based contracting engine. This individual contributor role demands a data strategist who bridges health plan utilization data with financial partnerships. Key Responsibilities

• Deal Modeling & Architecture: Build sophisticated models transitioning from Fee-for-Service (FFS) to capitated and risk-based arrangements.
• DME-Specific Actuarial Trends: Adjust historical claims for HCPCS-level inflation and DME variables like continuous glucose monitors.
• Risk Scoring & Stratification: Create member-level models to identify high-utilizers, with sensitivity analyses and stress tests.
• Leakage & Network Analysis: Uncover out-of-network spend to justify volume consolidation and exclusivity.
• Strategic Proposal Development: Convert analytics into compelling executive proposals.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with Sales, Marketing, and Finance for operational fit.
• Value-Based Care Innovation: Model clinical interventions like remote patient monitoring on contract performance.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in healthcare deal management, actuarial analysis, or financial modeling.
• Deep DME lifecycle knowledge, including HCPCS coding and utilization impacts.
• Experience defending models in executive negotiations.
• Expert Excel for automated what-if scenarios.
• Hands-on risk-adjustment (CMS-HCC or proprietary).
• Medical cost trends, seasonality, IBNR projections.
• Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement expertise.
• Preferred: Health plan actuarial or network contracting background.
