AECOM’s Enterprise Capabilities team is looking for a Bridges & Structures Junior Designer to join our team in Kraków, Poland.

We are working on stages as early as feasibility studies up to detailed designs on a wide range of projects, either as standalone linear infrastructures team or as part of multidisciplinary teams.

Our clients are from the private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our office has an established track record of successfully delivering roadway designs for many years, throughout the USA and Australia not to mention Canada or Middle East. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team for the EC Europe Team (Poland/Spain).

Here's what you'll do:

• Work is accomplished autonomously on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC within established procedures and practices related to bridges and structures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Performs structural engineering work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
• Performs a self-check of work products prior to submitting to others and participates in quality control reviews of documentation originated by equally or less experienced staff.
• Prepares project deliverables that are reviewed by senior team members.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.

Qualifications

Here's what we're looking for:

• Proven track record of working on bridges and/or structures designs (+4 years).
• Experience with international regulations and standards (i.e AASTHO; AREMA, Australian Codes; British Standards, etc.) will be considered favorably.
• Skilled in engineering calculation software for bridge and structures (preferable Midas Civil, but others as CSiBridge, SAP2000, etc. are well considered)
• Advanced level in CAD software (preferable AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).
• Working experience in BIM Modelling (Revit for Bridges or Structures) will be considered favorably.
• Bachelor or Master degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
• Communicative level of English (spoken and written).
