Job Description

AECOM is seeking a full-time, hybrid, Contract Administrator to work within our Water business line supporting municipal wastewater infrastructure construction projects.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and monitor the flow of materials and equipment to ensure timely delivery in line with project schedules and procurement plans
  • Collaborate closely with procurement and project management teams to align delivery schedules with construction or production milestones
  • Work with Project Manager, Design Team, Client and Construction Contractor in expediting solutions to technical field problems
  • Expedite Supplier documentation and review construction submittals
  • Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements
  • Coordinate inspections, provide regular updates to project team and the Client, review and prepare contractor payment applications, and respond to RFI’s.
  • Issue Change Orders, Change Directives, Site Instructions
  • Participate in the negotiation of change orders specific to design changes
  • Participate in the resolution of delay and other claims by the contractor
  • Participate in and document all construction meetings onsite (progress meeting, commissioning meeting, etc.)
  • Participate/coordinate in testing and commissioning activities
  • Ensure compliance with contractual delivery terms and project requirements

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in contract administration, procurement, or commercial management within complex, project-driven environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing full contract life cycles, from pre-award to close-out, in industries such as construction, engineering, infrastructure, or Water and Wastewater
  • Familiarity with contract law, terms and conditions, and commercial agreements and risk allocation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in a field role on municipal water or wastewater infrastructure projects and experience providing contract administration and/or site inspection 8
  • Experience in supporting large-scale, high-value projects or public/private sector contracts
  • Understanding of construction project sequencing (e.g., mobilization, shop drawing reviews, construction, start-up and commissioning, project closeout, etc.)
  • Able to read and interpret engineering construction drawings and specifications is an asset
  • Ability to work in teams, respond to changing demands, be decisive under pressure, and can remain calm when interfacing with internal and external personnel
  • Proactive mindset, excellent communication and problem-solving skills while working with internal teams, clients, and suppliers
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills

Additional Information

  • Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $95,000.00 - $130,000.00.
