Job Description

AECOM Panama is seeking an Environmental Specialist III

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responible for environmental assessments and analyses focused on reducing negative environmental impact.
  • Includes monitoring & recording levels of pollutants, compiling reports, and recommending appropriate actions to ensure compliance, state, and local regulations.
  • "Discipline concerning wastewater, stormwater, potable water and water resources; ambient air, emissions sources, and control strategies; noise; solid, hazardous and special waste; industrial hygiene; environmental assessments, forestry aspects, risk analysis, impact assessment, environmental restauration, remediation and emergency response and applicable codes, standards, regulations and guidelines."

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or related fields, with + 4 years or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Of experience in:
  • Preparation of environmental impact studies
  • Writing technical reports, with an emphasis on environmental reports

Preferred Requirements:

  • Preferably 6-10 years of experience
  • Experience with preparation and monitoring of environmental impact studies
  • Baseline assessments
  • Biodiversity Diagnosis / Biodiversity Action Plan
  • Experience in fieldwork (Collection and monitoring)
  • Knowledge of local environmental regulations and IFC performance standards.
  • Data analysis and visualization skills (Excel, GIS, etc.)
