Job Description

AECOM is hiring a Municipal Roads Civil Engineer to join our Transportation team in Ottawa, ON.

_This is a great opportunity to work on impactful municipal infrastructure projects and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team._

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Design and deliver municipal road infrastructure projects
  • Prepare engineering reports, calculations, drawings, and specs
  • Ensure compliance with municipal/provincial design standards
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to client expectations

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 2+ years of municipal roadway/highways/linear municipal servicing design experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ideally 4+ years of municipal roadway/highways/linear municipal servicing design experience
  • EIT in Ontario
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation/Bentley, InRoads/OpenRoads
  • Knowledge of OPS, TAC, and municipal guidelines
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in urban/rural road design, intersections, and active transportation
  • Able to work independently and in teams
  • French language skills are considered an asset
  • Experience working for other Ontario municipalities will be considered an asset.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $70,000.00 - $85,000.00.
