Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer specializing in Bridges and Underpasses to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our Supervision team you will play a crucial role in the construction supervision of major roadway projects, including new highways, interchanges, and the upgrading/rehabilitation of existing roads.

  • Report into the the Resident Engineer and supervise and coordinate structural engineering activities on construction sites
  • Comprehensive knowledge of RTA specifications
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment
  • Follow up set inspection for installations and review inspector’s performance on a regular basis.
  • Coordinate with the project managers to resolve technical issues and optimize solutions
  • Conduct site visits to assess construction progress and address any structural concerns
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of structural elements with other project components
  • Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed within budget and schedule constraints

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on bridges and underpasses (Cut & Cover)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of RTA specifications and familiarity with Construction of Box Girder Bridges in UAE/Dubai
  • Strong understanding of international bridge design codes and standards
  • Demonstrated experience in developing QA/QC procedures for inspections and test plans
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead a small team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Familiarity with local construction practices and regulations in the UAE
  • RTA Pre-Approval is highly desirable
  • Middle East or UAE/Dubai experience preferred
  • Professional engineering license or equivalent certification is a plus
