Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking an experienced and talented Senior Freight Rail Project Manager - Civil/Track Design to join and to report to the AECOM US East Region Rail Group. This person will have the opportunity to work on a diverse set of exciting freight rail design projects with the AECOM rail group with a focus on supporting and growing our Class I, short line and industrial clients. The AECOM office provides upward mobility, opportunities for growth and leadership.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as an AECOM senior project manager on rail projects from planning, preliminary engineering, and final design.
• Accountable for developing project scope, budget and schedule and lead client contract negotiations.
• Coordinate, cooperate, and work collaboratively with others team members as well as support business development.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to subordinate managers and technical engineering staff.
• Performance at this level requires experience in a professional position and demonstrated experience with the types of tasks that will be required.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field + six (6) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• 10 years of related experience
• Professional Engineering license (or ability to obtain)
• 8 years of relevant experience in rail design, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Proficient with OpenRoads/OpenRail or other BIM Software (AutoCAD/Civil 3D/GeoPak)

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $160000 to $180000.
