Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Hydropower Engineer with strong technical expertise in the planning, optimisation, design and specification of large-scale hydropower and pumped hydro schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design development and optimisation of large-scale hydropower and pumped hydropower schemes, including both surface and underground components
• Develop and optimise the powerhouse layout integrating key hydro-mechanical and hydro-electrical equipment
• Prepare, review, and coordinate civil, mechanical, and electrical design inputs related to hydropower plants. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate all components of the scheme.
• Ensure designs are technically sound, cost-effective, and aligned with project objectives and site conditions.
• Conduct and review feasibility studies for new hydropower projects.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications, design reports, drawings, and other documentation.

Qualifications

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in hydropower design
• Proficiency in mechanical and structural analysis tools and CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, Inventor, ANSYS)
