Due to a number of exciting new project wins, particularly within the Healthcare sector , we’re looking to strengthen our team in Leeds with the addition of a Senior Mechanical Engineer .

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key technical role within a growing team, delivering innovative and sustainable building services solutions across a range of projects.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Report to the Associate Team Leader and take responsibility for mechanical design.
  • Provide specialist technical input to studies and designs, supporting and mentoring junior and graduate engineers.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews and contribute to high-quality project deliverables.
  • Carry out quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings.
  • Prepare detailed technical specifications and documentation.
  • Support the development of engineering budgets and project schedules.
  • Apply a solid understanding of mechanical building services design software and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Successful track record of mechanical building services design
  • Good understanding of software packages used to design mechanical building services systems
  • Experience in delivering projects using BIM software packages
  • Experience of low carbon systems, design and how to influence the built environment to reduce carbon emissions
  • The ability to understand IES or other calculation packages
  • Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering
  • Working towards membership of a relevant professional body such as CIBSE
