Job Description

* Under limited supervision, normally receives little instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments.

* Conducts surveys to ascertain the locations of natural features and human-made structures on the earth's surface, underground, and underwater, using electronic distance-measuring equipment and other surveying instruments.

* Operates and manages land-information computer systems, performs tasks such as storing data, making inquiries, and producing plots and reports.

* Reviews information from survey teams regarding measurement of distances, directions, angles between points and elevation of points, lines, and contours on, above, and below the earth’s surface.

* Researches legal records, looks for evidence of previous boundaries, and analyzes the data to determine the location of boundary lines.

* Records the results of surveys, verifies the accuracy of data, and prepares plots, maps, and reports.

* An experienced professional with full understanding of area of specialization.

* Works on problems of diverse scope.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

-Produce drаwings, layouts, sketchеs, mаps, аnd grаphics of enginееring dеsigns using computer-aidеd drafting software

-Digitizing Property Deeds using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

-Requires a good working knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Property deeds documents, and technical knowledge

-Produce detailed, high-quality cartographic products and accompanying reports

-Compile, manipulate and refine geographic data from a variety of sources including, but not limited to field observation, digital aerial photography, and existing maps, property deeds

-Perform regular quality control checks of GIS Data and non-spatial databases

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

* Must have bachelor's degree in geodetic engineering.

* 6 years of experience in topographical surveying and drafting design.

* 6 years of experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D

* 6 years of experience in Land Registry

* Preferred at least one year of GIS experience

* Experience with survey instruments, Total Stations and GNSS Receivers with a solid understanding of, coordinate systems, projections and spatial data management.

* Experience managing small projects, and junior staff.

* Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.

* Proficiency in standard office suite software applications.

* Ability to demonstrate professional demeanor in written and verbal communications with clients, regulatory officials, and fellow employees.

* Ability to write and to convey complex thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner. Ability to learn through on-the-job experience.

Preferred Qualifications

* Database, ArcGIS -Esri suite of software, ArcMap, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Open Roads, Project Wise,

* Post-Processing LiDAR Data and point clouds with Leica Cyclone / Trimble Business Center.
