Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traffic & Parking Engineer to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Roads Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing various road infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

  • Effectively support the client on traffic and parking tasks for a mega project in the region.
  • Experience in planning for large parking areas including data analyses, demand assessment and parking systems will be preferred.
  • Has proper understanding of masterplans, mobility, and parking design.
  • Engaging with stakeholders in collecting data related to parking and mobility design related information.
  • Research market conditions, benchmarking regional and international city's parking and mobility elements.
  • Take a lead on the tasks to support the client by effectively utilising skills in parking assessment and traffic engineering. Ideally posses GIS and significant MS Excel experience for data management and analyses.
  • Be aware of and adhere to relevant legislation, codes of practice and departmental policies when planning and supporting the development of mixed-use developments.
  • Undertake data recording and analysis tasks.
  • Manage the preparation of client reports, presentations using MS PowerPoint bringing together the contributions from other specialist areas of the development and stakeholders.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Ensure key strategic relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders are effectively developed, managed and maintained.
  • Effectively represent AECOM to relevant government departments, external agencies and other bodies appropriate to the post.
  • Plan, direct and deliver the services in accordance with appropriate procedures and legislation.
  • Provide technical supervision and fulfil line management duty to junior staff if required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and project management tools
  • Knowledge of drainage systems and environmental impact assessments
  • Expertise in reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and international construction standards
  • Understanding of local construction regulations and practices in Saudi Arabia
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational abilities and efficient project management skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
  • Innovative mindset with a focus on implementing cutting-edge road engineering solutions
