Key Responsibilities at Datadog

• Conduct pioneering research in Generative AI and Machine Learning for observability and SRE
• Build state-of-the-art foundation models for forecasting, anomaly detection, and multi-modal analysis
• Develop autonomous AI agents that detect, diagnose, and resolve production incidents
• Create production code repair agents leveraging code, logs, and runtime telemetry
• Leverage large-scale distributed training infrastructure for model pre-training
• Design simulated environments for agent training and evaluation
• Collaborate with Product/Engineering to translate research into customer value
• Publish at top conferences (NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML) and open-source advancements
• Mentor junior researchers and contribute to Datadog's AI research culture

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed as an AI Research Scientist at Datadog, you'll need:

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or equivalent
• 3+ years research experience with publications at premier venues
• Deep expertise in foundation models, transformers, and generative AI
• Experience with distributed training (PyTorch, JAX, DeepSpeed, etc.)
• Strong understanding of observability, SRE, or cloud infrastructure
• Proficiency in Python, ML frameworks, and production ML systems
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
