It is a core strategy to fulfill Airbnb’s belongs anywhere mission.We are building a world-class payments platform that moves billions of dollars, in 191 countries, with 75 currencies, through a complex ecosystem of payments partners. We build and maintain our own in-house global payments platform because no solution exists with the global reach needed. As the platform grows we’ll be adding new payment partners, global licenses, compliance and regulation controls, and building new payment experiences for our guests and hosts.   The Payments Operational Tooling team at Airbnb is responsible for developing and maintaining web-based frontend tools and Java-based backend services that empower Customer Support agents and payment specialists to solve payment-related issues for our guests and hosts. A Typical Day

• Work closely with stakeholders in the US for alignment and shape strategies and technical directions
• Participate in daily stand-ups to monitor team output and support team members
• Represent the Payment Operational Tooling team in leadership meetings
• Improve collaboration and communication for a strong team culture
• Build a culture of craftsmanship, delivering on business initiatives with pride and confidence
• Engage in international travel if required
• Strategize and brainstorm opportunities with Product, Partnerships, and cross-functional leaders, driving relevant metrics
• Recruit engineers and improve initiatives for the overall India site culture

Your Expertise

• BS, MS or Ph.D. in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of relevant engineering work experience and 4+ hands-on technical management experience
• Experience in managing multiple global teams is preferred
• Experience with building payments or relevant systems
