Your mission:
An internship opportunity titled: Internship - FEM Engineer has just opened at Airbus India located in Bangalore. You will join the "Structures" department, your internship will consist in: Supporting the development and deployment of FEM tools workflow. You will contribute to building this API-based application to streamline the E2E FEM build process, secure quality, enhance automation, and improve communication among stakeholders. Ideally, this is a 6-month internship.
Your main missions will consist of:
● Assisting in the development and integration of APIs to connect existing FEM tools like ABAQUS, Nastran, and Hypermesh.
● Helping to build the automated workflows that tell the system how to run a complete analysis. This includes automating the steps for preparing data, creating the model, running quality checks, and executing the final analysis
● Helping to map existing FEM processes to identify key areas for automation and efficiency gains.
● Collaborating on the development of post-processing scripts and report automation tools.
● Liaise closely with the cross functional teams to test and validate new workflow modules.

This internship will allow you to develop the following skills:
● Knowledge of E2E Finite Element Analysis (FEA) workflows and best practices in the aerospace industry.

● Practical application of API development and software integration in an industrial context.
● Hands-on experience with major FEM solvers (Nastran, ABAQUS) and process management tools.

Your Boarding Pass:
You are pursuing a technical Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or an equivalent field with a strong focus on both structural analysis and software development.
You possess the following competences:
Technical skills:
● A strong academic understanding of Finite Element Method (FEM) principles
● Essential programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, shell scripting).
● Familiarity with API development (e.g., REST) or integration is a significant plus.
● Interest in process automation, configuration management.
● Added advantage - Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL)
Soft Skills:
● Proactive and Autonomous: Eager to take initiative and learn new skills.
● Team spirit: Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams.
● Problem-solving: A strong analytical mindset with a passion for process optimization.
● Fail-fast mindset and Solutions approach
Language skills:
● English: Advanced.
