Job Description:

Für aktuelle und zukünftige Satellitenkonstellationen werden Phased-Array Systeme mit einer Vielzahl von einzelnen Antennenelementen und Signalketten eingesetzt. Die Größenverhältnisse für Anwendungen im Ka-Band oder höheren Bänder sollte die Ansteuerung der HF-Elemente auf die integrierten Schaltungen implementieren werden.

Im Rahmen der Arbeit soll ein Schaltungsblöcke zur Ansteuerung  (z.B. DAC, ADC) von HF-Komponenten untersucht werden. Der Entwurf soll die Rahmenbedingungen für ein Betrieb in Orbit berücksichtigen.

Zu den Aufgaben gehört:

• Literaturrecherche zu bestehenden Implementierungen des Schaltungsblockes
• Untersuchung und Vergleich der Vor- und Nachteile einzelner Schaltungsvarianten
• Entwurf und Simulation des Schaltungsblockes in einer SiGe BiCMOS Technolgie
• Dokumentation und Zusammenfassung der Ergebnisse

Erforderliche Vorkenntnisse:

• Erfahrung im Umgang mit Schaltungsentwurfssoftware (Cadence Virtuoso)
• Erste Erfahrungen im Schaltungsdesign, idealerweise im Bereich Analog Design
