Job Description:
This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.
Join the Airbus Helicopters team as a Quality Inspector A, where your technical mastery meets world-class aerospace engineering. You will be responsible for the end-to-end quality lifecycle of our aircraft, ensuring total compliance with FAA and EASA regulations.
What You’ll Do:
Total Aircraft Inspection: Execute detailed inspections across aircraft systems, including dimensional checks, hidden damage assessments, and functional testing.
Material Excellence: Approve or reject incoming materials, ensuring only the highest quality components enter our production line.
Master the Tools: Utilize a variety of precision aids and devices to determine specification limits with absolute accuracy.
Airworthiness Authority: Take ownership of the final "stamp of approval," certifying that our helicopters are safe, compliant, and ready for the sky.

Your Working Environment:
On the eastern border of Mississippi you’ll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. It’s here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
*** Current/Valid FAA Airframe & Power Plant License***
·4 years of quality inspection on aircraft components and systems --or--
·6 years as an aviation maintenance technician (AMT) on aircraft components and systems
Ability to interpret technical and regulatory documentation
Familiar with inspection tools, aids and devices used in determining tolerances and specification limits
Part 145 Repair Station experience
Preferred Education/Skills:
Proficiency in French, German or Spanish
FAA Inspection Authorization (IA)
FCC 2nd Class License
Non Destructive Inspection (NDI) Certificate
Minimum 6 years or equivalent diversified experience on Airbus Helicopters products as either a certificated AMT or quality inspector
Associates Degree in Aviation or related industry
Physical Requirements:
