Role Overview

As an Analyst in Financial Operations at Airwallex, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our global payment and financial platform. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Operations in the US, you will be one of the first hires in the US focused on Financial Operations, as part of a larger global Financial Operations (FinOps) team. This team is responsible for delivering operational excellence throughout our customer transaction lifecycle and managing our liquidity to support the company’s business growth worldwide. You will collaborate closely with counterparts within Operations, as well as with Commercial and Product teams, to identify and resolve FinOps-related issues.

A Day in the Life

Your day will involve a mix of monitoring client transactions, handling inquiries, and detecting exceptions from data reports and dashboards. You will utilize advanced Zendesk skills to manage FinOps-related customer requests, such as payment investigations, returns, recalls, and reconciliation inquiries. A key part of your role will be to support daily safeguarding obligations across multiple Airwallex entities and monitor the clearing and settlement of client funds. You will also be responsible for driving data-oriented approaches to identify and remediate FinOps-related issues, working with various teams to implement effective solutions. This role requires working a 9-6PM shift to align with global operations.
