Role Overview

Airwallex is seeking an experienced and highly motivated (Associate) Director of Account Management to lead our post-sale growth engine in the SME & Growth segment. Based in Sydney, you will be responsible for developing and executing the go-to-market (GTM) strategy to drive product adoption, revenue growth, and customer retention. You will lead a team of 25+ professionals, including four direct reports who are Team Leads/Managers. This is a critical leadership role that requires a strong understanding of account management best practices, fintech, and the ability to build and scale high-performing teams. A Day in the Life

As the (Associate) Director of Account Management, your day will be dynamic and multifaceted. You will spend time:

  • Coaching and mentoring your team of Team Leads/Managers, providing guidance and support to ensure they are successful in their roles.
  • Developing and refining the GTM strategy to drive product adoption and revenue growth within the existing customer base.
  • Meeting with key clients to build strong relationships and understand their needs.
  • Collaborating with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Revenue Operations teams to translate customer feedback into product improvements and GTM initiatives.
  • Analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement training programs to enhance team performance.
  • Addressing and resolving complex client issues, acting as the escalation point for challenging situations.
