Role Overview

As the Director, Regulatory Compliance for Asia at Airwallex, you will be a pivotal leader in ensuring our operations adhere to the complex and evolving regulatory landscape across the Asian market. This role is a newly created senior position, reflecting Airwallex's commitment to strengthening its compliance framework in the region. Based in either Malaysia or Singapore, you will report directly to the global team head (based in Amsterdam) and collaborate closely with various internal and external stakeholders. Your primary focus will be on delivering the regulatory engagement strategy, maintaining licensing responsibilities for our regulated financial services entities, and building upon our global regulatory compliance program based on the 2 lines of defense principle. You will play a crucial role in enabling Airwallex's growth and strategic goals by providing expert advisory and oversight.
