Role Overview

The Senior Counsel, Product Legal will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to Airwallex's Product teams in the APAC region. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks associated with new and existing products. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our products comply with applicable laws and regulations in various jurisdictions, including Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australia. This role requires a strong understanding of financial regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable solutions.

A Day in the Life

On a typical day, you might:

• Advise Product teams on the legal and regulatory requirements for a new payment feature in Singapore.
• Review and provide feedback on product specifications to ensure compliance with data privacy laws.
• Coordinate with legal counsel in Hong Kong to assess the regulatory implications of expanding a product into that market.
• Draft and negotiate contracts with third-party vendors.
