Airwallex is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Regulatory Counsel to join our dynamic Regulatory Legal team in Singapore. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal part in shaping the future of global payments and financial services within the APAC region. As a Senior Regulatory Counsel, you will be at the forefront of navigating complex regulatory landscapes, advising on strategic business initiatives, and ensuring compliance across key Southeast Asian markets.
This is not just a legal role; it is a chance to be a true business partner, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and expansion while upholding the highest standards of regulatory integrity. If you are a seasoned legal professional with a passion for fintech, a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, and a desire to make a significant impact, we encourage you to apply.
Imagine starting your day by reviewing the latest regulatory updates from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). You analyze the potential impact of these changes on Airwallex's products and services, preparing a summary for the relevant stakeholders. Next, you collaborate with the Product team on the launch of a new payment solution in Indonesia, providing legal guidance on compliance requirements and structuring the product to meet local regulations.
In the afternoon, you participate in a meeting with the Regulatory Compliance team to discuss the implementation of enhanced AML measures across the region. You contribute your legal expertise to ensure that the company's policies and procedures are robust and effective. Later, you advise the business development team on the regulatory implications of a potential partnership with a local fintech company.
Throughout the day, you'll be actively involved in drafting and reviewing legal documents, providing training to internal stakeholders, and representing Airwallex's interests in discussions with regulators and external counsel. No two days are the same, but your core focus remains constant: to enable Airwallex's growth and success while ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Singapore is a thriving hub for fintech innovation and a strategic location for Airwallex's operations in the APAC region.
