Alcoa is seeking a highly motivated and skilled R&D Technician to join our ELYSIS team at the Alcoa Technical Center (ATC) in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of a revolutionary technology that is transforming the aluminum industry. As an integral member of our research and development team, you will play a key role in developing and testing advanced materials for the ELYSIS™ carbon-free aluminum smelting process.
As an R&D Technician I, you will be responsible for conducting experiments, installing and commissioning new equipment, and meticulously recording and documenting results. Your work will directly contribute to the development of innovative technology that has the potential to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions from the aluminum production process. You will be part of a pilot-scale development team, focusing on the manufacturing and testing of advanced proprietary materials.

An Associate's degree or equivalent technical certification in a relevant scientific or engineering field, along with proven experience in a laboratory setting, is required.
Key responsibilities include manufacturing powders and components, preparing and testing samples, conducting experiments, and maintaining equipment.
Strong skills in laboratory techniques, data collection and analysis, equipment maintenance, and teamwork are essential.
