Allied Universal is seeking a dedicated and professional Armed Patrol Floater Security Officer to join our team in Orlando, Florida. This part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, safeguarding clients and contributing to a culture of safety and security. As an Armed Patrol Floater, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a visible presence, deterring unwanted activity, and providing excellent customer service to guests, staff, and performers at various locations, including cultural institutions.
Imagine starting your shift at a vibrant cultural arts venue in Orlando. Your day begins with a briefing from the security supervisor, outlining any specific concerns or events scheduled for the day. Equipped with your firearm and other essential security equipment, you embark on a routine patrol of the premises.
Your patrols take you through lobbies, backstage corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations. You remain vigilant, looking for any signs of suspicious activity or policy violations. You interact with guests, providing directions and assistance, ensuring they feel safe and welcome. You respond to inquiries from staff and performers, addressing their concerns and providing security-related information.
During events, you monitor entrances and screening points, verifying credentials and managing lines to ensure a smooth flow of traffic. You assist with crowd control, directing people to their seats and ensuring that emergency exits remain clear. You remain alert for any potential security threats, ready to respond quickly and effectively.
Throughout your shift, you maintain detailed logs of your activities, documenting any incidents or unusual occurrences. You communicate regularly with your supervisor and fellow security officers, sharing information and coordinating efforts. You end your shift by securing your equipment and providing a comprehensive report to the incoming officer.
